In the novel Dream of the Red Chamber, why are the dispositions of Baochai and Daiyu different?

Two talented and beautiful women, Lin Daiyu and Xue Baochai, had to meet in the wealthy Jia family. Although they faced different problems and difficulties, their temperaments were vastly different.

She chose to face these difficulties alone, living a secluded life and maintaining an inner calm and strength. Even if someone married her for her wealth and status, she did not care because she knew that she could not get the other person's true heart.

Therefore, although Lin Daiyu and Xue Baochai were both beautiful beings, their personalities and desires were vastly different. One desired a confidant and understanding, while the other preferred self-sufficiency and independence. However, in the book "Jin Lan Qi", they had warm and understanding moments. These precious times made them cherish and understand each other, thus deeply experiencing the true meaning of loneliness and sadness.
